Extra Large Dog Bed That Doesn’t Break the Bank!

Soooo! I absolutely love this dog bed, but I have to tell you, I modified it from the original!

This is the 52-inch, micro velvet bagel dog bed (villa collection) by Majestic Pet Products in the color Pearl. It is aesthetically appealing and is a great price compared to most other dog beds this size.

I spent less than $100 on this bed, and it is the perfect size for my 102-pound German Shepherd with plenty of room to spare! The color is beautiful, and the fabric is surprisingly durable. My dog who is usually a chewer, hasn’t tried chewing on this bed at all.

The only Negative: It is quite flimsy. I’m not sure if all sizes are this way or just the 52-inch, but it is definitely lacking support.

My Solution:

The bed has two zippers: one for the base of the round bagel bed and a separate zipper for the bolster.

I literally ripped open my dog’s old bed, took out all the stuffing, and stuffed it into this new one. I unzipped both sections and added extra stuffing wherever needed (I used all of the stuffing from the old bed). But now, it is SO much more supportive, less flimsy, and looks even nicer than before! My dog absolutely loves it.

In addition to the extra stuffing, I placed this Sherpa Throw Blanket on top of the bed for extra softness! I bought this blanket from Walmart for $9.98 (price vary to change).

I love this blanket, especially for the price! It is so soft, I might buy a few more for myself!
